What is NATA 

NATA, or the National Aptitude Test in Architecture, is a standardised exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) in India for admission to undergraduate programs in architecture. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 education or an equivalent are eligible to apply. It is held annually. The NATA exam is divided into two sections: the written portion and the drawing portion.

NATA 2023 Exam Dates

NATA 2023 EXAM SYLLABUS 

The NATA 2023 exam syllabus consists of the following subjects:

  1. Mathematics: Simple Quantitative Aptitude topics like profit & loss, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Geometry etc
  2. General Aptitude: This includes topics such as spatial visualisation, spatial ability, and observation.
  3. Drawing: This includes topics such as freehand drawing, design, and composition.
  4. Physics: This includes topics such as properties of matter, laws of motion, waves, and electricity.
  5. Chemistry: This includes topics such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, and equilibrium.
  6. History and Culture: This includes topics such as Indian history, art, and culture.
  7. Environment and Ecology: This includes topics such as environmental issues and sustainability.
  8. English: This includes topics such as grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.

The NATA 2023 exam is conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) and is conducted in two parts:

NATA 2023 Eligibility Criteria

  • The questions will be worth one, two, or three points, and NATA 2023 will have a total of 200 Marks
